Bioraphy 

Born 1941 in Georgia, in the family of scene painter Vagharshak Elibekian.

In 1960 he moved to Armenia and settled in Yerevan. The same year R.Elibekian entered  Yerevan  State Academy of Fine Arts, department of painting.

Since 1965  participated in numerous republic, all-union and international exhibitions.

1970   member of Artist’s Union of Armenia.

In 1977 he got the title of the Merited Painter of Armenia, and in 1981 the State prize.

In 2001 Robert Elibekian was awarded the Medal of Movses Khorenatsi of the Republic of Armenia and in 2004 the prize of the President of Armenia.

.In 2007 he was participated in the exhibition of Modern Armenian Fine Arts in Paris, Orangerie du Luxemburg.

In 2008 exhibition of three generations in Montreal.

In 2008 he was awarded the title of People’s Painter of Armenia

2010 New Masterpieces of Arame Gallery, Yerevan, Armenia

2011 UNESCO Palace, Beirut, Lebanon

Robert Elibekian’s works are exhibited at famous museums such as  Tretyakov Gallery and the Museum of Oriental Arts in Moscow, Alex Manoogian Museum of Detroit , Elyseum Palace in Paris, the White House in Washington, Zimerli Museum in New-Jersey and other places.
